Qaeda gunmen assassinated a Yemeni officer at dawn Friday in Lahij province in southern Yemen.
Two gunmen on a motorbike shot at the officer and fled the scene, security sources said.
Also, a Yemeni citizen was killed in Aden by unidentified gunmen after chasing him.
