Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed (R)

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and Murray McCully, Foreign Minister of New Zealand, have signed a number of MoUs on the establishment of a joint committee between the two countries, and the exercise of members of the diplomatic mission to their work, in addition to cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research.
The meeting, which took place in the New Zealand parliament headquarters, reviewed relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and ways of boosting them in various fields.
They also discussed the latest developments at the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in international fora.
The meeting reviewed the final signing of free trade agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council and New Zealand, where Sheikh Abdullah stressed that this agreement would contribute to strengthening economic relations and trade exchange between all the GCC countries and New Zealand.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of the Department of East Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
