An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Southern Pacific Ocean at 19:55:51 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 16.01 km, was initially determined to be at 48.3601 degrees south latitude and 87.2929 degrees west longitude.
